Christmas has arrived early for the doggies at Manchester & Cheshire Dogs’ Home as Chadkirk Transport comes to the rescue and deliveries four tonnes of dog food.
Last week, Manchester & Cheshire Dogs’ Home got in touch with us when they received a huge donation of dog food with no way of transporting it all from Leicester.
To save their paws and to ensure our four-legged friends have enough food for Christmas, we collected the pallets free of charge and delivered it straight to their Manchester kennels, where they look after a variety of dogs looking for new homes.
Rhys Fildes, Managing Director, said: “As a Stockport based-business keen to help local charities, we were delighted we could support the home. A lot of the team here at Chadkirk Transport are huge dog lovers too, so this was a perfect job for us.
“The work Manchester & Cheshire Dogs’ Home does to rehome dogs that have come to them stray from the streets of Greater Manchester is amazing, and we’re overjoyed we could do a little something to help.
“We couldn’t resist the opportunity to see the animals either! It was great to see how well they’re looked after by the lovely workers and volunteers. We hope they all find a home in time for Christmas!”
